چکیده

Abstract Multi-tracer imaging can provide useful information in the definitive diagnosis and research of medical, biological, pharmaceutical sciences. Single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) is one nuclear medicine modalities widely used for or medical has a multi-tracer capability. One drawbacks crosstalk from other gamma rays, which affects reconstructed image. Scattering correction methods, such as dual- triple-energy window are conventional SPECT to reduce background caused by crosstalk. This study proposes another reduction method. Some nuclides emit two more rays through intermediate levels. Thus, detecting these with coincidence method allows us distinguish true ray signal signal. The nuclide position be estimated at intersection using collimators. We demonstrate herein simultaneous 111 In 177 Lu via double-photon GAGG detectors parallel hole greatly reduces offers higher-quality images than does imaging.

Entangled-photon coincidence fluorescence imaging.

We describe fluorescence imaging using the second-order correlation of entangled photon pairs. The proposed method is based on the principle that one photon of the pair carries information on where the other photon has been absorbed and has produced fluorescence in a sample. Because fluorescent molecules serve as "detectors" breaking the entanglement, multiply-scattered fluorescence photons wit...

Pinhole versus parallel-hole collimators for parathyroid imaging: an intraindividual comparison.

UNLABELLED This study was undertaken to determine the effects of collimators on the accuracy of preoperative sestamibi parathyroid imaging of the neck. METHODS Forty-nine patients with primary hyperparathyroidism underwent preoperative (99m)Tc-sestamibi parathyroid imaging. The protocol included early and late pinhole and parallel-hole imaging. One experienced nuclear physician, without knowl...

Background Reduction Using Collimators on a Portable HPGe Nuclide Identifier

The portable germanium detector based HHRIDs are generally intended to be operated in low to medium radiation fields with as much sensitivity as possible. However, in some circumstances the interfering radioactive background may be significant with respect to the source of interest. For example: a shipping container full of NORM may be used in an attempt to mask the presence of a concealed SNM ...

Comparisons of Multiple Photon Coincidence Imaging Techniques

We compare analytically techniques for multiplephoton coincidence imaging in terms of spatial resolution, detector efficiency (or simply efficiency), and system sensitivity for a spherical water phantom (or simply sensitivity). One analysis consists of comparing photon-photon coincidence single-photon-emission computerized tomography (PP-SPECT) with angularly unconstrained, electronically colli...

"Two-Photon" coincidence imaging with a classical source.

Coincidence imaging is a technique that extracts an image of a test system from the statistics of photons transmitted by a reference system when the two systems are illuminated by a source possessing appropriate correlations. It has recently been argued that quantum entangled sources are necessary for the implementation of this technique. We show that this technique does not require entanglemen...
